Our HISTORY

Liana’s Food Products Manufacturing Bean to Bar story began in January 2019. Our Founder, John Julard Yu, decided to focus on our cacao farm and saw a great potential of cacao in the business industry. He realized that most people love eating chocolates and most pastries have this common basic ingredient – chocolate! Cacao beans were exported to other countries and bought by top chocolate brands.  Why not manufacture our own chocolate products and sell it internationally? He noted that our province, Zamboanga del Sur, is rarely mentioned in the cacao industry, yet producing among the best quality cacao in the country. Why not put our mark in the Chocolate Map of the World?

While seeking answers to these questions, our Founder built the foundation of a vision and Liana’s Food Products Manufacturing was established. We started making tablea manually then sold it to the local market. With the increasing demand, machines were brought in.  Our production capacity and product quality has significantly improved as attested by our happy buyers and loyal clientele.

In December 2019, a month shy away from our first anniversary, Liana’s Founder passed away.  Closing the business was an immediate option. But our Founder’s legacy and love for cacao dissuade us to continue his mission: till the land with more cacao farmers, produce the magic of cacao and bring this yummy goodness to the whole world.

Our Vision

To showcase our products worldwide and put Zamboanga del Sur in the Chocolate Map of the World by inspiring more cacao farmers and enterprises from the local industry par global excellence.
